Mitch was born in Newark, NJ and grew up in a neighboring suburb, South Orange. He was first introduced to dance at the young age of 3 when his parents enrolled him in tap classes. From then, Mitch continued his dance journey, developing a talent for hip-hop and step along the way. It wasn’t until he started his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania that he discovered salsa. Mitch joined Penn’s Latin & Caribbean dance troupe, Onda Latina, and performed with the group all 4 years, cementing his love for Latin dance and music.
Over the past 15 years, Mitch has trained under and performed with a number of instructors from NYC to Denver, CO; almost 10 of those years have been with Melanie and Gabriel’s Dance On2 Pro Team.
